What's included
A WooCommerce to Shopify migration includes products, variations, customers, orders, reviews, posts, pages, redirects and plugin replacements, rebuilt to fit how Shopify stores data.
01
Simple and variable products become Shopify products and variants. Attributes beyond Shopify's three options, and custom fields, move to metafields or an options app.
02
Customers, addresses, order history and product reviews imported. Passwords cannot move, so customers are invited to reactivate their accounts.
03
Every /product/, /product-category/, page and post URL mapped to its Shopify URL, with SEO titles and meta descriptions from Yoast or Rank Math carried over.
Shopify SEO →04
Your WordPress theme rebuilt in Shopify, and each plugin replaced by a native Shopify feature, an app or custom code.
Shopify development →05
WooCommerce Subscriptions moved to a Shopify subscription app, and ERP, inventory and supplier EDI connections rebuilt and tested.
EDI and ecommerce operations →06
Keep the WordPress blog on a subdomain, or move posts to Shopify blogs with redirects. We weigh content volume and search traffic before choosing.
How we run it
We migrate WooCommerce to Shopify in five steps, with data tested on a staging store before any DNS change.
Step 1
Export products, customers and orders, crawl every URL and list each active plugin and what it does.
Step 2
Match plugins to Shopify apps or native features, attributes to variants, and old URLs to new ones.
Step 3
Build the Shopify theme, set up apps and metafields, and import data to a staging store.
Step 4
Import the redirects, switch DNS, move subscriptions, send account invitations and run launch checks.
Step 5
Watch Search Console, orders, subscriptions and EDI feeds, and fix gaps as they appear.
URLs and redirects
WooCommerce URLs map to Shopify's fixed /products/, /collections/, /pages/ and /blogs/ paths, so product, category and post URLs change and each needs a 301 redirect. Shopify cannot keep WordPress permalink structures.
/product/blue-jacket/ becomes /products/blue-jacket. Variation URLs with attribute parameters redirect to the parent product.
/product-category/jackets/ becomes /collections/jackets. Nested categories become collections linked through menus, and /product-tag/ pages redirect to the closest collection.
/about/ becomes /pages/about, and a post at /post-name/ becomes /blogs/news/post-name if the blog moves to Shopify.
WordPress SEO →If the blog stays on WordPress, it usually moves to a subdomain such as blog.yourdomain.com. Old post URLs are redirected to their new home before launch.

FAQ
Not if the migration is planned for search. Shopify adds fixed prefixes such as /products/ and /collections/, so most WooCommerce URLs change. We map every product, category, page and post URL with a 301 redirect, carry over SEO titles and meta descriptions from Yoast or Rank Math, and monitor Search Console after launch.
It depends on how much the blog does for you. A small blog usually moves cleanly into Shopify blogs with redirects. A large content library that relies on WordPress categories, custom post types or plugins can stay on WordPress, usually on a subdomain. We compare both options against your traffic and publishing needs before deciding.
Each plugin is replaced by a native Shopify feature, a Shopify app or custom theme code, and some are no longer needed. Yoast or Rank Math settings move into Shopify SEO fields, product add-ons move to an options app, and Advanced Custom Fields data moves to metafields. We list every active plugin first so nothing is missed.
Yes, to a Shopify subscription app such as Shopify Subscriptions or Recharge. Subscription records, plans and renewal dates can be moved. Whether stored payment methods transfer depends on your payment gateway, so some subscribers may need to re-enter card details. We confirm this with the gateway and the app before launch.
Customer records, addresses and order history can move from WooCommerce to Shopify, but passwords cannot be migrated for security reasons. After launch, customers receive an account invitation so they can set a new password. We import historical orders for reference and reporting and check totals on a staging store first.
Many stores move to cut maintenance. WooCommerce runs on WordPress, so you manage hosting, security, PHP versions and plugin updates yourself. Shopify is hosted, with security, checkout and platform updates handled by Shopify, so your team works on the store instead of the server. The trade-off is less control over URL structure and server-level code.
