FAQ

Questions about ecommerce web design

How long does an ecommerce website build take?

An ecommerce build usually takes a few months. The timing depends on catalog size, integrations and whether products, customers and orders are being migrated from another platform. Larger catalogs and custom features take longer. You get a written timeline before work starts and progress reviews at each stage.

Should we use Shopify or a custom build?

Most brands are best served by Shopify, because checkout, payments and apps are reliable and well supported. A custom build makes sense when the catalog, pricing or buying flow needs something no theme or app can do. We recommend after the review.

Can you redesign our store without losing rankings?

Yes. We map every product, collection and content URL, carry over titles, descriptions and schema, and set 301 redirects before launch. After go-live we monitor Search Console for crawl errors and ranking changes and fix any gaps quickly, so the redesign keeps the search traffic you already earned.

Do you connect suppliers and inventory?

Yes. We have built supplier EDI connections for inventory and order routing for ecommerce brands. Connecting operations during the build means stock levels, purchase orders and shipping confirmations move automatically from day one, with fewer manual errors reaching customers after launch.

Do you have ecommerce case studies?

Yes. Our case studies include search architecture for a large-catalog online retailer, HauteFlair, and product page changes that raised its conversion rate. We also built supplier EDI connections for ecommerce brands. You can read each case study on our site and see the Proof section on this page.
