HauteFlair product page case study →How we run it
A schema markup project runs in four steps, and we either ship the markup on your platform or write specs for your developers.
Step 1
We crawl existing markup, read Search Console enhancement reports and list errors, gaps and duplicates by template.
Step 2
Each template gets a Schema.org type plan, with @id references that tie every page back to one Organization entity.
Step 3
We write JSON-LD into Shopify, Webflow or WordPress templates, filled from real page and CMS data.
Step 4
We validate each release and watch Search Console so the markup stays valid as templates change.
Schema audit
A schema markup audit checks these five things in order, because valid markup only helps when it is also accurate.

FAQ
Schema markup is structured data, usually written as JSON-LD, that describes a page using the Schema.org vocabulary shared by the major search engines. It tells Google, Bing and AI answer engines exactly what a page is about, such as a product with a price, a service, an article or a business with an address, instead of leaving them to infer it from the text.
Schema markup is not a direct ranking factor, according to Google. It helps search engines understand your pages and can make them eligible for rich results such as product prices, review stars and breadcrumbs, which change how your listing looks in search. Eligibility does not guarantee a rich result: Google decides when to show one.
Most sites need Organization or LocalBusiness, BreadcrumbList on inner pages, and one type per template: Product and Offer for product pages, Service for service pages and Article for posts. FAQPage fits pages with a visible FAQ. Review and AggregateRating belong only on pages that show genuine reviews and follow Google's review snippet guidelines.
We add JSON-LD to templates rather than page by page. On Shopify that means Liquid theme sections that pull product, price and availability data. On Webflow we use page and CMS template custom code bound to CMS fields. On WordPress we configure an SEO plugin or write theme code. Every template is validated before release.
Yes, structured data helps AI answer engines read your entity facts consistently: your business name, services, products and locations. Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT and Perplexity still decide what to cite on their own, so schema works alongside clear, crawlable content and consistent facts across the web. We treat it as one input, not a guarantee of citations.
