FAQ
Not if the migration is planned for search. Most ranking losses come from missing or wrong redirects. We map every old URL to its new Shopify URL, carry over titles, content and schema, and monitor Search Console after launch to catch any gaps early.
A Shopify migration usually takes a few months. The timing depends on catalog size, data quality and the number of apps and integrations to replace, and stores with EDI or custom features take longer. You get a written timeline before work starts, with launch planned for a low-traffic window.
We plan EDI continuity as part of the migration, not after it. Supplier, inventory and order connections are rebuilt and tested against the new Shopify store before launch. On switch-over day orders keep flowing to suppliers, and we watch the feeds closely in the first weeks after go-live.
Yes. Customers, order history and gift cards can be migrated to Shopify. Passwords cannot be moved for security reasons, so we set up an account activation email that returning customers receive. We test the data on a staging store first, so totals and order records match before launch.
Yes. We migrate stores from both Magento 1 and Magento 2, also known as Adobe Commerce, including stores with large catalogs, configurable products and custom URL rewrites. Magento URL patterns differ from Shopify's, so the redirect map is one of the most important parts of the project.
