How do you manage Google Shopping campaigns?

Google Shopping campaigns are managed in four steps, starting with the feed.

    Fix the feed

Disapprovals cleared, titles and attributes improved, and custom labels added for margin and seasonality.

  3. Step 3

    Rebuild

Performance Max and Standard Shopping campaigns structured around margin and product priority.

    Optimize

Weekly bid, budget, search term and feed changes, reported by product in plain language.

FAQ

Questions about Google Shopping ads

What is Google Merchant Center and why does it matter?

Google Merchant Center is the account that holds your product feed and makes products eligible for Shopping ads and free listings. If products are disapproved there, they cannot show, no matter how the campaigns are set up. We check the Diagnostics tab, account settings, shipping and returns, and fix the issues that stop products from serving.

How do you optimize a product feed for Google Shopping?

We rewrite product titles to lead with what buyers search, such as brand, product type, size and color, then fill in attributes like GTIN, MPN, color and material. We add custom labels for margin, seasonality and best sellers so campaigns can be split and bid differently. Changes are made in the store, with feed rules or with a supplemental feed.

Should we use Performance Max or Standard Shopping?

Many stores run both. Performance Max uses your feed and assets to reach buyers across Search, Shopping, YouTube, Display and Gmail, and works best with solid conversion data. Standard Shopping gives more control over search terms, negative keywords and bids. We choose the mix based on catalog size, margins and budget, then test it.

Why are our products disapproved in Merchant Center?

Common causes are missing or invalid GTINs, price or availability that does not match the landing page, missing shipping or return settings, broken images and policy issues such as restricted products or misrepresentation flags. We trace each disapproval to its cause, fix it in the store or the feed, and request reviews where needed.

Do you work with Shopify product feeds?

Yes. We work with the Google and YouTube app for Shopify, feed tools and direct feeds from BigCommerce, WooCommerce and other platforms. Where store data is hard to change, we use feed rules and supplemental feeds in Merchant Center to fix titles, attributes and custom labels without editing every product by hand.
