SEO & AI Discovery Architect

About the role

You'll own how client sites are structured, understood, and surfaced across traditional search engines and AI answer engines. This is architecture-level work — taxonomies, entity systems, structured data strategy, and AEO formatting — not content mills or keyword lists. You'll work directly with founders and senior stakeholders, remote and async-friendly.

What you'll do

• Design site architectures, taxonomies, and internal-link systems that scale with the business.
• Build entity and structured-data strategies that earn citations in AI Overviews, ChatGPT, and Perplexity.
• Map search intent and SERP gaps into engineered topic clusters and content systems.
• Audit and restructure existing sites without breaking what already ranks.
• Present architectural decisions to leadership with clear tradeoffs and measurable outcomes.

What we look for

• Deep, hands-on technical SEO experience — you've shipped architectures, not just decks.
• Working fluency in schema.org, entity optimization, and how LLM-based answer engines select sources.
• Systems thinking: you reason about structure before tactics.
• Clear, direct communication — senior-led means you face the client.
